<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water filling method and a hot water supply system comprising a hot water filling function capable of suppressing a radiation loss of hot water during filling the hot water. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This hot water supply system S1 includes a hot water storage tank 1 for storing heating water WH, first piping 23 for supplying the heating water WH from the hot water storage tank 1 to a bathtub 8, second piping 24 for supplying the water WL1 to the bathtub 8, a valve element 3 for opening and closing the first piping 23 and the second piping 24, a control section 4 for controlling the valve element 3, and an operating section 5 for providing hot-water filled information to the control section 4. The control section 4 performs the first control to keep the first piping 23 in a closed state when receiving hot-water filled information from the operating section 5, and to keep the second piping 24 in an opened state by the valve element 3 to supply a prescribed amount of water WL1 from the second piping 24 to the bathtub 8, and then to keep the first piping 23 in an opened state and to keep the second piping 24 in a closed state by the valve element 3 to supply a prescribed amount of the heating water WH from the first piping 23 to the bathtub 8.
