<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an efficient operation of acknowledgement in a wireless communication system. <P>SOLUTION: Firstly, a reverse supplemental channel (R-SCH) frame is received in a base station. Then, the base station transmits an acknowledgement (ACK) signal when the quality of the received R-SCH frame is shown to be good. A negative acknowledgement (NAK) signal is transmitted only when having sufficient energy enough to enable correct decryption of the data frame when being combined with energy from data frame retransmission while the received data frame is shown to be bad. When the best base station is known, the transmission of the acknowledgement signal for the best base station can be reversed so that only the NAK signal is transmitted. At the time of an absence of the acknowledgment, an affirmative acknowledgement is regarded to exist. It is performed to minimize a transmission output request. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
