The load carrier i.e. tray (1), has a frame comprising a base (3) and a circular raised edge (4). A base plate is arranged in the frame within the circular edge. The frame and the base plate are movable with each other such that the base plate is movable within the frame in a vertical direction relative to the base over the height of the circular edge of the frame between two stops. The base plate and the frame are detachably connected. The circular edge of the frame forms a narrowed upper side opening. The base plate has large dimension than the opening in a horizontal parallel position.
