<p>Heat exchange tank for assembly in a heat exchanger, comprising: (A) single piece hood extended in the lengthways direction having two opposing end openings and one side opening extending in the lengthways direction of the hood; (B) two opposing sealing bodies each forming a seal connection to the periphery of the end openings; and (C) link plate for connecting to an inserted heat exchanger package and which forms a sealing connection to the periphery of the side opening. The tank is characterised by (A) being of a double wall construction comprising an outer- and inner wall over at least part of its cross-section and along essentially all of its length, with a series of distancing sections extending between the outer- and inner walls along essentially the length of the hood, which are distributed in the cross-section to join the out-er and inner walls, forming channels in the length direction. Also claimed are (i) the prepn. of the tank by moulding, (ii) heat exchanger contg. the tank, and (iii) heat exchanger connected to the tank.</p> |
