ORGANIC MATTER ANALYSIS METHOD AND ORGANIC MATTER ANALYZER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic matter analysis method and an organic matter analyzer capable of detecting the melted state or dispersed state of an organic matter in a solution.

SOLUTION: The organic matter analysis method includes: a mixing process for adding and mixing not less than one type of inorganic salt to a solution containing an organic matter; a freezing process for obtaining a frozen sample by freezing the solution to which the inorganic salt has been added and mixed; and a detection process for detecting the melted or dispersed state of the organic matter by applying specific electromagnetic waves to the frozen sample and measuring the transmitted electromagnetic waves. Also, the organic matter analyzer 10 comprises: a light source 12 for generating excitation light for exciting specific electromagnetic waves; a spectroscope 14 for measuring transmitted electromagnetic waves by generating electromagnetic waves by the excitation light and applying them to the frozen sample 40; and a low-temperature chamber 16 for obtaining the frozen sample by freezing the solution to which the inorganic salt has been added and mixed.
