<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for detecting multiple touching points on a touch screen. <P>SOLUTION: A mechanism is provided to collect voltages read on four terminals of two conductive layers. By changing a reference voltage or an application to a terminal of the four terminals, at least four voltages can be read from the four terminals. These voltages are converted to digital voltages to be processed in a microprocessor in accordance with a set of equations so as to determine the number of the touching points on the touch screen and coordinates thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
