A glass layer (3) is disposed between a glass member (4) and a thermally conductive material (7) along an area to be fused, the glass layer (3) is then melted by applying laser light (L1) using the thermally conductive material (7) as a heat sink, and the glass layer (3) is adhered by being fused to the glass material (4). When the glass layer (3) is fused, the laser light absorption rate by the glass layer (3) increases rapidly, but because thermally conductive material (7) removes heat from the glass layer (3) as a heat sink, the glass layer (3) can be prevented from reaching a state of excessive heat input. Subsequently another glass member is stacked on the glass member (4) to which the glass layer (3) is fused, with the glass layer (3) therebetween. The glass members are then fused to one another by applying laser light along the planned fusion area.
|
