<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately mute a sound output according to a state of an output device, such as a headphone and an antenna. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A device receives a radio signal and outputs a sound signal from a first speaker. The device has: a connection section to which the antenna and the terminal of a second speaker are connected; a reception section for receiving the radio signal via the antenna connected with the connection section; a mute instruction section for detecting whether the terminal has been connected to the connection section, for outputting the sound signal to the first speaker when the terminal has not been connected to the connection section, and for muting the output to the first speaker when the terminal has been connected to the connection section; a switch for selecting the validity/invalidity of mute; and a mute control section for invalidating a mute function at the mute instruction section when mute invalidity is selected by the switch, and for outputting the sound signal to the first speaker even if the terminal has been connected to the connection section.
