<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type fluid machine allowing easy and accurate adjustment of a contact condition of a tip part of a scroll body of a turning scroll member to a fixed scroll member. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Since a distance measurement part 25d of which measurement element A1 of depth gauge A can touch another end surface of a first housing 11 from a second housing 12 side of a center plate 25 for measuring distance L2 between a surface at the second hosing 12 side of the center plate 25 and another end surface of the first housing 11 under a condition where the center plate 25 is arranged on another end surface of the first housing 11 is provided on the center plate 25, distance between a surface at the second housing 12 side of the center plate 25 and another end surface of the first housing 11 can be measured under a condition where the center plate 25 is arranged on another end surface of the first housing 11 without rotating the center plate 25 to the first housing 11.
