<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swing evaluating device which can evaluate a swing by accurately analyzing the swing to improve the swinging technique. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The swing evaluating device compares the posture change of the body parts of a learner with a predetermined determining criterion when the leaner practices swinging for hitting a ball using a ball hitting implement. The swing evaluating device includes: an acceleration sensor 10 which detects the posture change of the body parts of the learner; a microphone 11 which detects an impact sound when the ball hitting implement swung by the learner hits a ball; a data memorizing section 33 which memorizes the detected information during a specific time between the time of detecting the impact sound by the microphone 11 and a predetermined time among the detected information detected by the acceleration sensor 10; a memory 23 which sets and memorizes as determining criterion information for comparison for evaluating the swing; and a computation section 35 which evaluates the swing by comparing the detected information memorized in the data memorizing section 33 with the determining criterion information of the memory 23.
