PURPOSE: A mobile router and a network access method of the router capable of accessing heterogeneous network are provided to reduce expense installing a mobile router in the heterogeneous network by supplying the mobile router. CONSTITUTION: A storing unit(121) stores an IP(Internet Protocol) pool and an access network gateway address. A communications unit(123) receives data from a terminal acquiring a service set identifier and broadcasts a plurality of service set identifiers. A controller(124) extracts the heterogeneous gateway address of the storing unit and extracts the access network gateway address corresponding to the set identifier. If the connection request is received from the terminal, the controller assigns the IP address of the terminal with reference to the IP pool.
