<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver capable of stopping intermittent reception depending on the quality of a reception state even while the intermittent reception like a time slice is executable. <P>SOLUTION: The receiver for receiving broadcasting in which a plurality of programs are time-division-multiplexed includes: a reception form control part for setting the processing form of the reception so as to be updated to one of the intermittent reception in which the execution/non-execution of the reception are switched depending on the contents of a slot which has arrived and continuous reception in which it is not switched; and a reception state determination part for determining the quality of the reception state on the basis of a prescribed determination condition.
