PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of picking up a subject image while efficiently correcting a blur with accuracy corresponding to image quality. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: an image quality setting means 37c which sets a parameter for determining image quality; a blur limit exposure time operating section 35 for operating a blur limit exposure time of an imaging device 7 on the basis of a focal distance of an imaging lens 3 and the parameter determining the image quality set by the image quality setting section 37c; an imaging section 35 for consecutively picking up a subject image on the basis of the blur limit exposure time; a blur amount detection sections (39, 19, 43, 45, 47, 49) for detecting a blur amount, from exposure start, of the subject image; and image synthesis sections (35, 15, 25) for correspondingly adding image data for a plurality of frames so as to overlap the same portion of images of the plurality of frames represented by the image data of the plurality of frames, respectively.
