<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for allowing a user to visually recognize a photographing range corresponding to an interchangeable lens, while suppressing the cost of an imaging apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 1A includes: the interchangeable photographic lens 3; a main imaging element 5 which obtains a photographed image on a subject image formed by the photographic lens 3; a lens information obtaining means which obtains the lens information of the photographic lens 3; a finder means for confirming the photographing range by the main imaging element 5; a determination section 122 which determines whether or not the photographic lens 3 is suitable for the main imaging element 5, based on the lens information; and a changing means which shields part of subject light forming the subject image, to change the photographing range shown on the finder means, according to the determination result of the determination section 122.
