<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding door device can effectively stop a closing motion of a door body in a full-closing position. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This folding door device includes: a door tail side door body 10 which is turnably supported on an immovable region via a base shaft portion 50; a door end side door body 20 which is turnably connected to a door endside portion of the door tail side door body 10; and a moving support portion 41 which is provided in such a manner as to turnably support the door end side door body 20 from its upper side and/or lower side and move the door body in the width direction of an opening. The folding door device brings about the opening/closing motion by turning the door end side door body 20 in an opposite direction while turning the door tail side door body 10 in one direction. The base shaft portion 50 is provided with a braking means 52 for suppressing the close-directional turn of the door tail side door body 10; and a projection and recess engaging means 60, which stops the turning of the door end side door body 20 in an approximately totally closing position by fitting a projection 62b and a depression 61a together, is provided between the moving support portion 41 and the door end side door body 20.
