PURPOSE: A transmission power control method of a micro base station and the micro base station for the same are provided to reduce frequency interference with a neighboring micro base station by making the micro base station efficiently adjust/set transmission power for a service. CONSTITUTION: A mode converter(110) sets an operation mode of a base station to a terminal mode. If transmission power is calculated, the mode converter changes the operation mode of the base station into a base station mode. A signal detector(120) detects a pilot signal. A transmission power calculator(130) calculates the transmission power of the base station based on signal attenuation according to a level of the detected pilot signal and the size of coverage. A base station operator(140) transmits the pilot signal having the calculated transmission power.
