A system structure for supporting the multimedia broadcast/multicast service (EMBMS) is provided, which includes: a broadcast/multicast service center, for initiating a control signaling and a bearing service of the multimedia broadcast/multicast; a system architecture evolved gateway (SAE GW), for receiving the multimedia broadcast/multicast service data and the control signaling or the service data from the other network, and forwarding the received service data and the control signaling; a broadcast/multicast managing entity (BME), for receiving, processing and forwarding the control signaling of the broadcast/multicast service and determining the enhanced base (eNodeB) which receives the signaling based on every multimedia broadcast/multicast service; and a multicast user plane entity (mUPE), for receiving the multimedia broadcast/multicast service data, executing the core network processing of the received multimedia broadcast/multicast service data in the evolved packet core network and forwarding the processed multimedia broadcast/multicast service data to the lower nodes.
