PURPOSE: A wire strand having sensor unit and production method of thereof are provided to detect the distortion of strand by easily establishing the sensor unit in the complex strand. CONSTITUTION: The signal transfer member(21) is installed in the hollow(22) of the tube(20). The hollow is formed into the longitudinal direction of tube. The tube protects the signal transfer member from the external force. The six unit strands(30) surround the main surface of tube. Unit strands twist to the longitudinal direction the reciprocity. The sensor unit(40) partitions tube. The sensor unit is installed between tube and tube. The sensor unit comprises the sensor housing(41) interlinking tube and the sensor(50) connected to the signal transfer member.
