PURPOSE: A transformation stress adjustment heat-treating method of a roll is provided to reduce the residual stress of the roll in a heat treating process and to prevent damage and crack on the roll. CONSTITUTION: The molten steel from a bath or an induction furnace is injected in a cell portion and a core inside a mold. A roll is heated at 900~1100°C for fixed hours and an austenite structure of single phase is obtained. After quenching the casted roll, a thermal process is proceed at 450~600°C for two or three hours. The roll is rapidly cooled to 450~550°C at a cooling speed of 4~8°C/min and rapidly frozen to 100~200°C at a cooling speed of -25~35°C/hr. |
