PURPOSE: An image transmission amount management system for a web viewer and a method thereof are provided to prevent waste of a webpage image transmission amount by removing transmission of unnecessary images in the web viewer based on color information, which is included in a text file. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal(10) requests transmission of a webpage to the wireless network. If color information of a grid image having a single color is received, the mobile terminal applies the color for a display position of the grid image. The applied color is displayed on a screen. A webpage conversion server(14) generates the color information of a monochrome image. The color information is successively transmitted with other grid images.
