PURPOSE: A contents recording method and apparatus are provided to prevent a record enable number from being unreasonably decreased when recorded contents can not be reproduced after the reproduction verification of the recorded contents. CONSTITUTION: A safety information processing unit(130) creates safety information about a disc. The safety information processing unit stores the safety information in a domain in which a user access is impossible in a contents recording apparatus(100). A controller(120) decides whether the security information about the loaded disc exists in the safety information processing unit. A reproducing unit(180) reproduces contents recorded on the disc. A verification unit(170) verifies whether the contents can be reproduced.
