PURPOSE: An EGR valve having the structure reducing thermal load is provided to operate a solenoid and a sensor which are formed inside a housing and are weak at heat and prevent heat conducted to a lower plate from being delivered to the upper plate. CONSTITUTION: An EGR valve having the structure reducing thermal load comprises a lower plate(60), a U-shaped pipe(50), and an upper plate(40). A hole having the same diameter with the outer circumference of a connection unit(20) is formed at the center of the lower plate. A U-shaped groove is formed on the upper part of the lower plate. The lower plate is formed on the upper part of a mounting base(30). The U-shaped pipe is mounted on the U-shaped groove and cooling water circulates inside the U-shaped pipe. The U-shaped groove is formed on the lower part of the upper plate. The U-shaped groove of the upper plate corresponds to the U-shaped groove formed on the lower groove. A hole having the same diameter with the outer circumference of the connection part is formed at the center of the upper plate. The upper plate is coupled with the lower plate.
