PURPOSE: An electroluminescent display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to perform white light of high luminance by depositing a thin film phosphor layer on a thick film phosphor layer. CONSTITUTION: A first electrode layer(12) is formed on a substrate(11), and is a metal electrode layer. A thick film phosphor layer(13) is formed on the first electrode layer, and includes a powder blue phosphor and a binder. A thin film phosphor layer(14) is formed on the thick film phosphor layer in order to protect the thick film phosphor layer, and includes an orange phosphor. An insulation layer(15) is formed on the thin film phosphor layer. A second electrode layer(16) is formed on the insulation layer, and is a transparent conductive film. A protective layer(17) is formed on the second electrode layer.
