Loading routine programmed data signal receiver and method for updating software in data signal receiver using loading routine

A data signal receiver has a processor and interfaces, RAM, ROM, NV-RAM and non-volatile memory linked to the processor. A decompressing program of a loader and the loader in a compressed form is stored in the non-volatile memory and after being decompressed, by the decompressing program, the loader is stored in a section of the RAM memory, the section being declared as ROM memory. The loader is a program receiving a data signal receiver's code from external sources and exchanges it in the data signal receiver, storing it in the data signal receiver's non-volatile type memory. The loader does not reproduce audio or video signals, but is able to communicate with a user by displaying information on the screen, in order to show a state of current updating of the data signal receiver's software code.
