PURPOSE: A self-generating implantable power source is provided to reduce the size of existing medical devices inserted into the human body and to avoid an inconvenience of surgery for battery change. CONSTITUTION: A self-generating implantable power source(100) comprises an electricity generator including a biofuel cell(110) generating electricity by itself using fuel in vivo; an electricity storing device selected from the group consisting of a secondary battery(120), capacitor, and combinations thereof, which stores the electricity generated from a power generator; a semiconductor circuit(130) which can control voltage and electric current density for storing the electricity in the electricity storing device; and a biocompatible coating membrane(140) surrounding the power generator, power storage system and semiconductor circuit.
