PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a handling means such as an applicator for an item such as cosmetics or the like to be easily loaded or unloaded at a container in which an item such as cosmetics or the like is stored in a storing pan capable of being pulled out of a main body of the container. SOLUTION: This container 1 is comprised of a main body 2 including a pair of lids 2a, 2b arranged in parallel and spaced apart in a vertical direction and a fixing shaft 2c for connecting these lids end to end, and more than one storing pans 3 rotatably supported at the fixing shaft between the lids and which can be pulled out of the main body in a side direction. One end part positioned opposite to the fixing shaft of the main body with a storing segment S for the storing pans being held is provided with a storing chamber 2e opened in such a direction as one in which the storing pans are pulled out, and in turn the other end part of each of the storing pans positioned at a forward side in the pulling-out direction is provided with a lever 3e where the side wall of each of the storing pans extends and when the storing pans are stored in the main body, the lever closes an opening end 2i of the storing chamber.
