<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet member joining method, capable of joining two sheet members while conveying the sheet members, and capable of reducing a cause of generating a defective product as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: This sheet member joining method joins the preceding sheet member (1) to the new sheet member (2), by bonding a tip part of the new sheet member (2) onto a surface of the preceding sheet member (1), to form a joined part (4), and by cutting the preceding sheet member (1) in a rear side of the joined part (4), and fixes the preceding sheet member onto the new sheet member in the rear side of the joined part (4).
