<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar device that detects with high sensitivity both of a body such as a pedestrian in the distance from a vehicle and a body such as the pedestrian in proximity to the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The radar device includes a transmission-reception antenna for horizontality which emits a directional beam having directivity to the horizontal direction within an elevation plane and a transmission-reception antenna for high elevation which emits a directional beam having directivity to a prescribed direction above the horizontality.
