PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat efficiency with respect to a woody pellet combustion device for firing woody pellet prepared by crushing and compressing thinned wood. SOLUTION: In this pellet stove 10, a straightening member 100 having the U-shape in a plane view, is disposed at an upper part of a grate (combustion shelf) 32. The straightening member 100 is composed of an inner peripheral wall 102 and an outer peripheral wall 104, and an air guide passage 106 is formed over the whole periphery. A straightening section 114 having the corrugated shape on its vertical section, is formed on an intermediate section in the height direction, of the inner peripheral wall 102, and a secondary air hole 116 is formed only on an upper wall 114A. Thus the secondary air is jetted toward the oblique upper part to the flame. Thus the flame can easily raises right above in comparison with a case when the secondary air vertically hits right in the side of the flame, and heat of the flame can be efficiently transferred to an upper section of a combustion chamber 30.
