<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein power is consumed more than required although the reception sensitivity becomes good, when broadcast waves are received by carrier composition diversity. <P>SOLUTION: When broadcast waves are received by diversity, the diversity reception television receiver receives the broadcast waves with an antenna selection method, if the reception sensitivity is proper. But, if the reception sensitivity is not proper, the receiver receives the broadcast waves with carrier composition diversity. In addition, when reception is performed by the carrier composition diversity, an antenna system used for carrier composition is added until a sufficient reception sensitivity is obtained, in order of an antenna with the highest gain at a physical channel for receiving. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
