PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect chattering occurring at the processing of a camshaft from the sound of an engine in which an object product camshaft is assembled. SOLUTION: An acquisition part 21 acquires measured data by an abnormal sound tester 15 for the sound generated by the engine, in which the test object camshaft is assembled. A determination part 22 determines the quality of the processed condition of the camshaft, by inspecting the occurrence of chattering of the object camshaft of the present inspection using discrimination analysis or the Mahalanobis-Taguchi (MT) system, based on the variation amount of the amplitude of the measured data, in a specific frequency zone among the measured data obtained by the acquisition part 21, the number of times of the amplitude of the measured data that exceeds a predetermined threshold and the respective characteristic values of the peak values of the spectra.
