PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can substantially prolong the service life of parts from the viewpoint of a user and prevent the degradation of an apparatus specification before and after replacement work of the parts by the user. SOLUTION: A control section 102 predicts the transition of a wear level, based on a usage rate, from two parameters of the wear rate of a plurality of paper feeding roller units 223 and the usage rate of a paper feeding stage, to prolong the service life of the parts used in an apparatus. When the wear level of the paper feeding roller units 223 exceeds a first threshold, it is determined whether the replacement information of the parts to the user is necessary. When it is determined that the replacement information of the parts by the user is necessary, the replacement information of the parts is performed so as to urge the user to replace the paper feeding roller units 223 being the parts to be replaced.
