<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress and reduce half-order inertial exciting force generated at an eccentric shaft, in a link type stroke variable engine for linking a piston, a crankshaft and the eccentric shaft via a link mechanism. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A counterweight part 64 which is in a projection view on a plane orthogonal to an axis of a rotary shaft 50 and has a center of gravity G1 arranged on an opposite side of an axis of the eccentric shaft 53 with respect to the axis of the rotary shaft 50 rotates together with the rotary shaft 50.
