摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of sufficiently attaining early stage activation of a catalyst while suppressing output difference between cylinders and maintaining operability. SOLUTION: The control device for the internal combustion engine is provided with: a driving state detection means for detecting the driving state of an engine; a fuel feeding amount setting means for setting a fuel feeding amount according to the driving state; a required intake amount setting means for setting an intake amount according to the driving state; an air/fuel ratio setting means for setting an air/fuel ratio of intake mixing air of a predetermined cylinder of the engine to a rich side relative to the predetermined air/fuel ratio at cooling of the engine and setting the air/fuel ratio of the other cylinder to a lean side relative to the predetermined air/fuel ratio; and a cylinder requirement intake amount correction means for correcting a requirement intake amount in every cylinder such that the air/fuel ratio of the respective cylinders becomes a set value in such a state that the fuel feeding amounts of all cylinders are approximately uniformly set by the fuel feeding amount setting means. An amount of air volume-increased/corrected in the cylinder in which the air/fuel ratio is set to the lean side relative to the predetermined air/fuel ratio becomes larger than an amount of air volume-reduced/corrected in the cylinder in which the air/fuel ratio is set to the rich side relative to the predetermined air/fuel ratio.
