PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing impurities contained in a biodiesel fuel produced by an ester exchange reaction of a feedstock with alcohol using an alkali catalyst. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the biodiesel fuel by esterification using the alkali catalyst includes separating a fatty acid ester to be the biodiesel fuel and an alkaline crude glycerol by taking advantage of the differences in specific gravity and hydrophilicity, mixing the refined glycerol as a cleaning fluid with the upper phase of the fatty acid ester phase and agitating to dissolve the impurities such as soap and the alkali catalyst dispersed in the fatty acid ester in the glycerol, and again separating and removing the glycerol from the fatty acid utilizing the differences in specific gravity, etc., to manufacture the biodiesel fuel having little impurities.
