<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear solenoid improving magnetic attraction accuracy of a plunger. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The linear solenoid 2 is equipped with an attraction core 18, a thin part 19, and a stator core 21 provided integrally with a sliding core 20. The thin part 19 is formed between a bottom face of an annular groove formed on an inner circumference face of the stator core 21, and an outer circumference face of the stator core 21, and it is provided in an outer diameter side of the stator core 21. A square edge A is provided on an opening rim of an attraction core 18 side in the annular groove. The thin part 19 is inserted into an inner side of a coil 13, and it overlaps the coil 13 in an axial direction. Thereby, micropores can be eliminated, a magnetic attraction end becomes clear by the edge A, dispersion can be suppressed since machining of a portion regarding attraction accuracy can be carried out by inner machining only, and the magnetic attraction accuracy of the plunger 14 can be improved.
