<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage on a fuel cell system caused by freezing even when outside air temperature is low at a location where a fuel cell is mounted. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 400 includes the fuel cell 406 and a water supply line (for example, a piping 467, a water tank 411, and a water tank 412) for supplying water to the fuel cell 406. The fuel cell system 400 also includes a temperature sensor 530 for always measuring outside air temperature and a control section 455. The control section 455 determines whether the fuel cell 406 generates power. When the fuel cell 406 does not generate power, freezing prevention treatment for preventing freezing of the water in the water supply line is performed when the outside air temperature measured by the temperature sensor 530 becomes below designated temperature, for example, approximately 4°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
