<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for an electrical surgical instrument which is used to coagulate and necrose biotissues by high frequency electrical energy. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode for an electrical surgical instrument includes a hollow electrode 50 having an extended hollow tubular body and having a noninsulated area 20 formed into a prescribed length on one side and an insulated area 24 formed on the outer surface except the noninsulated area 20, a salt solution circulating structure for supplying pressurized salt solution for cooling the biotissue 200 contacting the hollow electrode 50 into the interior of the hollow electrode 50 from the outside of the living body and discharging the water from the interior of the hollow electrode 50 to the outside of the living body, and one or more salt solution discharge holes 22 formed in the noninsulated area 20 of the hollow electrode 50 for discharging some of the pressurized salt solution to be circulated, to the biotissue 200 contacting the hollow electrode 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
