<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform image adjustment only of required kinds and precision even if the proportion of black-and-white print to color print varies from user to user, or from period to period. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An image forming device comprises a correction control part for performing a black image correction or a color image correction, and a storage part for storing a black operation period and a color operation period. When it is determined that the black operation period has reached the first period predetermined for a simplified correction of a black-and-white image, and that only a job related to the black-and-white image is scheduled to be performed, the correction control part (1) forms a pattern for a simplified correction of the black, (2) does not form a pattern for a high-precision correction of each component, and (3) does not make a color image forming part form a pattern so as to correct the image forming conditions for the black in a simplified manner.
