<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-up display device for reducing the risk of color break. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A display means 9 emits a plurality of color display lights by a field sequential system. A reflecting means 21 reflects the display light emitted by the display means 9. A driving means 23 rotates the reflecting means 21. A control means 12 controls the display means 9 to display monochrome light when the angle position of the reflecting means 21 is adjusted by the driving means 23. The display means 9 includes a liquid crystal display panel 16, a first light emitting element 12 and a second light emitting element 13 for illuminating the liquid crystal display panel 16, and a lighting control part 14 which turns on/off the first light emitting element 12 and the second light emitting element 13 at a predetermined timing.
