PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a managing device capable of ideally distributing management information including user information and device information to external equipment (image processing unit) according to a frequency of use, area setting, and function restriction. SOLUTION: A management server 101 has: a communication device 102 for communicating with a plurality of pieces of external equipment; a storage section 103 for storing the management information including the user information and device information of the external equipment; a first distribution means for distributing the authentication result of the user of the external equipment and user information required for authenticating the user by the external equipment in the management information to the external equipment by referring to the management information stored in the storage section 103 according to a request from the external equipment; a selection means for selecting the external equipment, namely a distribution destination of modified management information based on the modification of the content of the management information; and a second distribution means for distributing the modified management information to the external equipment selected by the selection means.
