<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a function of a noncontact IC card to be switchable, for example, between business use and private use. <P>SOLUTION: The noncontact IC card 20 includes a hardware section 30 and a software section 40 for a noncontact IC card. The software section 40 includes a control region 41, a first region 42 for private use, a second region 43 for corporate use, and a common region 44. When the noncontact IC card 20 is held over an IC card reader 60 of a company to register a report to work, the control region 41 activates the second region 43 for corporate use and deactivates the first region 42 for private use.
