<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain backlash in a follower gear with a simple structure having a small number of components. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rotational angle detector 10 includes a holder 30 made of a synthetic resin in the inside in addition to a cover 20 and a case 40 molded by a metal plate for composing a housing. Also, the rotational angle detector 10 includes: a main drive gear 12 made of a synthetic resin integrally rotating with a detection target, such as a steering shaft; and two follower gears 14 made of a synthetic resin rotating following the rotation while mating with the main drive gear 12. While the follower gear 14 is being sandwiched by the holder 30 and the case 40, the follower gear 14 is supported rotatably by respective support sections 38, 42. Ž<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
