PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dry a recording medium while preventing failure in conveyance of the recording medium. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a conveying means for conveying a recording medium comprising a sheet of paper; an ink projecting means for projecting droplets of ink onto the recording medium; and a plurality of blowing means which are disposed side by side in the direction of recording medium conveyance and send a current of air to the recording medium onto which the droplets of ink have been projected. The directions in which the plurality of blowing means send currents of air are inclined downstream in the direction of recording medium conveyance relative to normals in the corresponding blowing positions on the recording medium.
