METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ANALYSIS OF POLY(BIPHENYL CHLORIDE) IN ELECTRICAL INSULATING OIL

Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for analyzing PCB in an electrical insulating oil with higher accuracy, conveniently, at low cost, and more rapidly. Specifically disclosed is a poly(biphenyl chloride) analysis method for measuring the concentration of poly(biphenyl chloride) in an electrical insulating oil.  The method is characterized by involving, as a pretreatment, a step of contacting particles of a copolymer comprising divinyl benzene and a methacrylate-type organic monomer as monomer components with an electrical insulating oil containing poly(biphenyl chloride) and separating poly(biphenyl chloride) from an oily component (an impurity) in the electrical insulating oil.  The methacrylate-type organic monomer preferably has a diol-type hydroxy group.
