<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cultivating and shipping a crop, which prevents the mislabeling of geographical origin and the sales of a camouflaged regional brand, and which can add information, such as producer information, to the shipped crop without imposing extra work to the producer after the harvest of the crop. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: disposing a tag 12 on soil in field, the tag 12 being made of a weatherable material, having a hole 14 formed therein, and having information, such as producer information, indicated thereon; setting a seed inside the hole of the tag such that the seed sprouts and roots extend from the seed, and then the roots grow from the hole of the tag to underground as well as a leaf and stem portion rises from the hole; and after the growth of the crop, harvesting the crop 10 with the tag 12 integrally engaged between the root portion and the leaf/stem portion, by drawing it out from the soil, and then shipping the crop with the tag attached. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
