METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATING LOW-DENSITY PARITY CHECK CODE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for generating low-density parity check codes. SOLUTION: A low-density parity check code generating method includes the steps of constituting a parity check matrix; dividing the parity check matrix into an information part matrix and a parity part matrix; dividing the parity part matrix into subblocks; determining a first diagonal and a second diagonal; placing shifted identity matrices in each of the subblocks, respectively; filling the remaining subblocks with zero matrices; arranging an odd number of delta matrices to a single subblock column; and storing the parity check matrix.
