PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amplifier capable of preventing a power supply device which can be prevented from destruction, and also provide a wireless communication apparatus mounted with the amplifier. SOLUTION: The amplifier comprises: a transistor 31 driven by a DC power supplied from the power supply device for amplifying the power of an input signal; and an overcurrent prevention element 32 that is formed on power supply lines led to the power supply device 21 and the transistor 31 on the same semiconductor board 30 with the transistor 31 and reaches an open state in terms of DC electricity when a current of a prescribed value or over flows through the element 32.
