PURPOSE: A treadmill and a running belt driving method are provided, which makes walking movement possible without electricity consumption through the successive walking exercise of a user. CONSTITUTION: A treadmill comprises left side and right side footings(110,210) fixed by the front and rearward support brackets; front and rearward belt rollers which are assembled to be rotatable; left side and right side running belts which are mounted to be rotatable; left side and right side hydraulic cylinders(170,270) which are assembled to be rotatable; and left side and right side independent running parts(100,200) which are connected to and assembled with support brackets and are comprised of left side and right side rotation quantity acceleration members.
