摘要 FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: metal-containing polysalicylidene azomethines are produced through polycondensation of disalicylidene derivatives of aromatic diamines with acetates or acetylacetonates of bivalent metals, mainly Co, Mn, Ni, Cu, Fe, Cd, Zn. Polycondensation is carried out for 3 to 4 hours at 80 to 100C in an argon current in a dimethyl formamide solution with quantitative output. Polymers obtained in accordance with the invention contain complexes of Schiff bases with metals in their structure.
